Olubukola K. Ayeni
HEAD, DOWNSTREAM BUSINESS
Olubukola started work as a ‘Business Development Officer’ at Fantastic Traders Plc in 2004 and joined Equatorial Trust Bank (ETB), now Sterling Bank in January 2006 as a Banking Customer Advisor, primarily responsible for Relationship Management and New Business Origination. Having earned a Bachelors’ Degree in Mass Communication from Babcock University, Olubukola also acquired a Masters in Business Administration (Strategy) from University of Aberdeen; followed with a Certificate in Public Relations from London School of Public Relations.
With her training in Capital Market Management, FOREX, Data Protection, Health & Safety Act, Banking Codes and Risk Assessment in the banking sector, Bukola transited to the insurance industry as an Insurance Office Manager at Harrow Agency, London between March 2010 and August 2011. Thereafter, Ayeni worked with Metlife Europe, London as a Financial Sales Consultant, then transferred her service to Mutual Benefits Assurance, Nigeria in October 2012 as a Risk Advisor.
Ayeni’s foray into the Oil and Gas industry started in 2013 with Kaniex Oil and Gas. From January 2014, Bukola held various positions in different Oil and Gas companies including Matrix Energy Limited and Danium Energy Resources as Team Lead, Supply & Distribution and Head of Marketing respectively; with more responsibilities of developing business and strategic plans for the companies’ sales and marketing drive : commercial, industrial, marine and retail.
In 2017, Ayeni joined IBILE Oil and Gas Company (IOGC) as a Senior Analyst, Trading, later became a Unit Head for trading and commercial activities. She currently heads the Downstream Business Department.
